Frequently asked questions

Will my photos look worse as WEBP?

Photos are encoded at quality 90, so they look the same at normal viewing size. The WEBP is usually noticeably smaller than the JPG.

Can I use WEBP images on any website?

All modern browsers support WEBP. Most website builders and CMSs, including WordPress, accept WEBP uploads.

Is the photo rotated correctly?

Yes. Photos taken with the phone held sideways are turned the right way up using their orientation data.

What happens to my files?

Uploaded files are deleted from our server within seconds of conversion, and converted files are removed automatically within about 15 minutes. We don't keep copies.
